Chapter 7 Author’s Note

It’s amazing how much writing you can get done in a week when you spend 3 hours a day writing.

Hello Everyone

I probably should have more to say.

About this most recent chapter, I mean.

But I don’t. So I’m gonna be artsy and weird about what little I have to say to fill space.

So I had to look up winning plays for Monopoly.

Mostly because I’ve never won a game of Monopoly.

Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever really played a proper game of Monopoly.

Like, a game that would fly in an official competition.

Which of course exist.

I mean, Tiddlywinks competitions exist. Of course there are Monopoly ones.

I did a ton of research for a huge chunk that never made it into this chapter.

I had planned to have the Forest Guardians show up. The argument that would ensure between Jack and the Guardians would spark Mother Nature requesting the whole shadowing thing.

It didn’t work. Kept trying it, never felt right.

I even researched folklore for the regions the wood would come from to see what would make sense to have as a protector of that forest.

I may provide a list with details with a “deleted scenes” or “cut content” bonus feature story.

But that would be after I finish the main story.

So that’s still a ways off.

I’ve been able to get a lot more done since school ended.

It’s amazing how much writing you can get done in a week when you spend 3 hours a day writing.

This isn’t a schedule I’ll be able to keep up once the school year starts up again, obviously. But it seems to be sticking for now so I’m expecting to get a lot of work done during this summer.

And since I already have a good working outline that delayed this chapter substantially, I’ll have one less layer of “what the hell am I doing?” to work through. So that’s good.

Don’t really have much else to say.

Stay safe everyone! And leave a comment/review on this or the chapter because I love attention.

See y’all soon!
